Remote IO Multiplexer for 16 channel 4-20mA current signal to RS485 Modbus.
The 4-20mA signals van be Passive or Active loops. Maximum number of modules cascaded : 32 modules.
RS485 is Isolated.
Understanding Sampling Speed :
Total reading speed 200 readings per second per channel. (5 msec per channel)
You can configure the number of samples you make on each channel to take average value from 1 to 100 samles.
The Number of channels used is programmable.
The fastest speed would be configuring 1 sample per channel, and using only 1 channel. so the speed would be 5 milliseconds.
For all 16 channels, using 1 sample, speed will be 5 msec x 16 = 80 milliseconds to get all 16 channels.
The module transmits an entire Modbus packet with the data of all channels each time it transmits.
This cadence will also depend on the baud configuration speed of Modbus.
Recommendations. If there is electrical noise, it is recommended to do more captures on each channel.
For example for 8 analog inputs, it is recommended to make 4 samples on each channel.
This results into 5 msec x 4 x 8 = 160 milliseconds. Avareging readout of 4 samples from 8 channels.
